PARYZ attends ILO seminar on Convention No. 102
November 18-20, a Tripartite Seminar is being held at the Radisson Hotel in Astana to review the compliance of national legislation with the ILO Convention on Minimum Standards of Social Security, 1952 (No. 102) with a view to possible ratification.
The event is moderated by Ms. Luisa Carmona, ILO Legal Officer, Universal Social Protection Department, and Ms. Fatima Dzgoeva, International Social Protection Legal and ILO consultant.
The seminar is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Health, the State Social Insurance Fund, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund, the Confederation «PARYZ», the Federation of Trade Unions, as well as Heidelberg Materials Kazakhstan LLP, Intergaz Central Asia JSC, QazaqGaz Onimderi LLP, Semizbay-U LLP, Samruk-Energo JSC, AK Altynalmas JSC, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP and Kazakhmys Maintenance Services LLP.
Let us recall that Convention No. 102 is the only international treaty that contains a systemic approach to social security in relation to the action of 9 social risks: medical care and cash benefits in case of illness, unemployment, old age, industrial injuries and occupational diseases, family responsibilities, maternity, disability and death of the breadwinner.
