On this week the National Confederation «PARYZ» participated in the International Conference «Youth and Social Entrepreneurship» in Yerevan city. The event was organized by the Business and Education Association of Armenia and Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the National Center for Vocational Education, the Statistical Committee, heads of educational institutions of Armenia, the Association of Social Enterprises of Finland, as well as partners representing employer associations from Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries. Sholpan Abikenova, Deputy General Director of the Confederation «PARYZ», represented Kazakhstan's employers at the international conference.
The event discussed current issues related to the youth labor market, employment preparation, skills mismatch and competition for talent, mentoring of youth and women in small and medium-sized businesses, and on-the-job training with the private sector, implementing entrepreneurship education in schools and colleges, facilitating the transition from student companies to entrepreneurship, and fostering a functioning social entrepreneurship ecosystem. Student companies and youth social enterprises presented an exhibition of their products and services.
At the conference, employer associations from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan had the opportunity to exchange experiences from their associations and discuss joint activities to develop social dialogue and partnership.
