On June 11, the first International Expo Forum EXPOGOODS CENTRAL ASIA opened at the EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana.
The event was officially opened by:
– Arman Shakkaliev, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan
– Gholamreza Nouri, Minister of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran
– Zhang Hanhui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan
– Nauman Bashir Bhatti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan
“Central Asia has enormous potential. Kazakhstan is a hub located at the intersection of East and West, demonstrating stable economic growth. Trade turnover between the countries amounted to 7.6 billion US dollars. This gives momentum for the development of trade and economic diversification,”
– emphasized Minister of Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev.
More than 200 companies from Iran, Pakistan, China, India, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan presented their products. These included food and beverages, dietary supplements, equipment for the hospitality industry, home and interior goods, tableware, household chemicals, cosmetics, hygiene products, and leisure goods. In addition, participants were introduced to financial and logistics services, as well as business-oriented solutions.
As part of the event, the Astana International Trade Forum is also taking place – one of the key events in the sectoral retail industry, where issues of foreign and domestic trade development and integration with the countries of Central Asia and the Caspian region are being discussed.
