The “PARYZ” delegation was represented by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Confederation of Employers of Kazakhstan, Zhumabek Zhanykulov, and the Director General of “PARYZ,” Kanybek Zhanbyrbayev.
During the meeting, the parties summarized the outcomes of the cooperation that began with the ILO Head’s visit to Kazakhstan in September 2024. Gilbert Houngbo gave high praise to the work of “PARYZ,” highlighting its contribution to the development of social partnership and the strengthening of the employers’ role in the country.
The ILO Head emphasized that Kazakhstan’s example, where the “PARYZ” Confederation plays an active role in the social and economic agenda, deserves attention at the international level.
A key point of the meeting was the proposal by the ILO Director-General to consider including Zhumabek Zhanykulov, Chairman of the Presidium of “PARYZ,” in the ILO’s advisory and consultative body through mechanisms of international employers’ organizations. According to him, this would be an important step toward enhancing Kazakhstan’s participation in the global labour agenda and protecting the interests of domestic producers and industrial companies.
The “PARYZ” delegation also held a meeting with the ILO Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Beate Andrees.
